Qunett is building the hardware foundation for deployable quantum networks, enabling quantum systems to communicate securely, reliably, and at scale.
At Qunett, we're building the hardware that makes quantum connectivity possible. We believe the next frontier isn’t just the quantum chip – it’s the quantum link. We design and develop the components that make those links real: entanglement sources, memory modules, and optical interconnects that let quantum systems communicate securely and efficiently. Through those connections, quantum networks become a multiplier of what individual quantum devices can do, amplifying their usefulness and unlocking new applications in computing, sensing, and communication.
Qunett was spun out in 2022 from research by Professors Dirk Englund at MIT and Saikat Guha at the University of Maryland. Since then, we’ve secured over $5 million in contracts and grants to advance our technology and move quantum networking hardware closer to deployment. Our team brings deep experience in quantum information, communications, and photonics. We believe the next generation of quantum technology will depend as much on connection as computation, and that robust, scalable hardware is what will make it real. Qunett is building that foundation from the ground up, turning the idea of a quantum-connected world into a practical reality.
